LingoFlix ("we", "our", "us") is an educational web application that helps users practise English phrasal verbs and slang through movie-based exercises. Because we intentionally avoid collecting any information that identifies you as an individual, this notice focuses on the very limited, non-personal data we process. Even when no personal data is gathered, most privacy laws still expect a clear policy.

LocalStorage is comparable to a first-party cookie but is never transmitted to our servers; any script running on your machine can read or clear it. You may delete it anytime via your browser settings; doing so resets your streak.
To build exercises, our backend temporarily ingests publicly available or licensed movie scripts under fair-use or text-and-data-mining rules. Raw text is kept no longer than 24 hours and then purged, leaving only de-identified tokens and vocabulary lists. (See our Legal page for full compliance details.)
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing to sell, rent or share with third parties. If we ever introduce optional accounts or analytics, we will update this Policy and obtain your consent first.
LingoFlix is aimed at users 13 +. We collect no age data, but if you believe a child under that age is using the service unsupervised, please contact us (Section 8) so we can assist. (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.)
We may revise this notice to reflect new features or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date (below) will change; significant updates will be highlighted in-app for 30 days.
